Family Therapy
Families come to see me when they need support, and addressing the whole family in therapy can be one of the most impactful interventions. Many struggles are in the interactions between individual family members, which affects how the family functions as a whole. Family therapy is the way to re-establish harmony and collaboration in your family unit.
As an immigrant and member of a multicultural queer family, I have both personal and professional experience in managing family dynamics. Whether you're raising toddlers or teens (or both), I will make sure that everyone feels heard and their needs are addressed. Family therapy can also be helpful during times of transition such as separation, divorce, adding a sibling, blending a family with step-parents and siblings.
People come to me to work through:
Managing family conflicts
Communication support
Grief and loss
Substance abuse issues
Blending families
Separating families and establishing co-parenting relationships
Difficulty with extended family members and in-laws
Dealing with estrangement
Gender transitions for parents or children
Sessions are scheduled for 50 minutes with fees ranging from $300. I provide reduced fees through a sliding scale under some circumstances if needed. Please discuss your needs when scheduling your first appointment.
